Who we are
Veneta Cucine is a family-run company which was founded more than half a century ago and over the years has steadily grown from a small local enterprise into a major multinational group. Today it is Italy's most important manufacturer of kitchen furniture.
An excellent example of top-class Italian industry which expanded over the years thanks to the vision of its founder, still at the helm of the company, now been joined by his three children. The company's business model has evolved from an entrepreneurial activity into a managerial structure which includes a team of managers who have been designated to take responsibility for different areas.

and to render design
an accessible value.
The company was founded in 1967 in the province of Treviso, and in 1978 changed its name to Veneta Cucine Spa. The Group's production facilities comprise a total of 120,000 m2 of industrial buildings, divided between the plant in Biancade (TV) which includes administrative offices and a production facility, the wood finishing plant in Codissago - Longarone (BL) and the one in San Biagio di Callalta (TV) dedicated to Caranto products. The Group employees a staff of more than 600, whose task is to design, produce, manage and distribute 10 systems and 40 models based on 5 different structures, with 400 combinations of colours and materials. This makes it possible to choose from an infinite number of customized versions and to market no less than 90,000 kitchen systems each year.
Technology
In 2008 the Group introduced its completely automated HOMAG production line, which produces four different types of finished and packaged components for kitchen units: tops, shelves, counter-tops and cupboard doors.
In February, 2015, Veneta Cucine introduced a major technological innovation within its production system, completing the project for the installation of a fully-automated warehouse designed specifically to meet the needs of the company as regards the storage, handling and distribution of the packaged components. The introduction of this new automated warehousing system has helped to improve the internal handling procedures and maximize the use of space, and also ensures that the client can trace their order during every phase of production and shipping.
Then in 2016 the company introduced LOTTO1, an automatic just-in-time system for the trimming and edge-finishing of highly-customized elements aimed at responding even more closely to the needs of the clients.
At the beginning of 2019 work on the construction of the new plant in Olmi di San Biagio di Callalta was completed; this plant will be dedicated to the production of Caranto, the company's newest model of technical kitchen tops.
Wood Division
Origin of our wood
European wood such as oak, cherry, chestnut, ash and alder. American wood such the toulipier alder and yellow pine from the United States and yesquero negro from Bolivia.
It is very important to also choose the correct felling season, which exclusively takes place when the trees are at rest, i.e. in winter. During the winter months, the sugar of the trees are transformed into starch, making the trees less susceptible to pest (insects or fungi) that often result in permanent damage to both the structure and the natural colour of the wood.
The Statistics
Veneta Cucine's products are marketed by an extensive distribution network – more than 1,000 highly-qualified dealers in Europa, Asia, Africa, North and South America – and the company has developed a very close working relationship with a network of international distributors who give exclusive space to its products and are able to express all the undisputed character and personality of the brand.

"Made in Italy" certification
In addition, in 2006 the company was one of the first to introduce a closed-cycle water-based painting system which guarantees the same excellent quality while drastically reducing the emission of toxic substances.
In 2003 Veneta Cucine received ISO 9001 certification from the prestigious German testing institute TÜV.
Another important step forward in guaranteeing maximum consumer safety was made in 2011. Veneta Cucine's kitchens were the first (and only) products treated with the exclusive BBS® anti-bacteria treatment known as Bacteria Blocker Silverguard, which is applied to all work-tops and other laminated surfaces liable to come into contact with foodstuffs: work-tops, frames and drawer bottoms.
Our Policy for Quality, the Environment and SafetyModel 231
Veneta Cucine uses an organisation, management and control model (so-called "Model 231") as required by Italian Legislative Decree no. 231 of 8 June 2001.
The Decree introduces the liability of companies for certain offences committed, in their interest or to their advantage, by subjects who operate on behalf of or in the name of the companies such as directors, managers and employees as well as by subjects in a collaborative relationship when they act under the control or management of subjects accountable to the same.
With the introduction of Model 231, Veneta Cucine therefore undertakes to prevent committing of the offences envisaged by the Decree and to provide a line of conduct that must be applied and respected in every action carried out within the company itself.
Read the code of conductGreen Thinking
Veneta Cucine is committed to projects that are projects for living in the broadest sense of the term, and a tribute to sustainability. We employ 100% recycled wood composites for the elements that make up our kitchens, as well as materials that do not create environmental imbalance. Also, we use production methods such as continuous-cycle water-based painting with extremely low emissions of harmful substances.
Underlying the company’s policies is “Green Thinking”, an ecological philosophy behind innovations which not only enhance the functionality of our products, but also help reduce pollution and protect the user’s health.

Veneta Cucine's commitment to a more sustainable future.
As part of its transition towards sustainability principles, Veneta Cucine has decided to use electricity only from renewable sources for its manufacturing sites and for a number of its mono-brand stores.
Veneta Cucine’s commitment is supported by the Italian framework, which fosters a mix of energies and dependable suppliers that are mindful of the environment.
Renewable energies come from renewable sources, such as the sun, wind, water and geothermal resources, tidal energy, wave energy or biomass and not from the burning of fossil fuels, such as petroleum, coal or natural gas.

The kitchen is now a bacteria fighter
At Veneta Cucine, a new buzzword has been circulating for some time now. “Green Thinking” is environmentally friendly thought placed at the service of innovations which lead to a healthier environment and safeguard the wellbeing of the user, besides enhancing the functionality of the company’s products.
One of the most interesting new ideas is BBS® Bacteria Blocker Silverguard, a trademark created for an antibacterial treatment using silver ions. The surfaces of laminates are given this treatment, which reduces bacterial growth by 99.9%.
The great advantage of the system is that the antibacterial power remains unchanged over time, since the silver is not in liquid form; instead, it is encapsulated into particles when the materials are impregnated, so it does not evaporate.

BBS® Bacteria Blocker Silverguard: the star of an historic technological innovation.
BBS® Bacteria Blocker Silverguard is the result of advanced, long-term research into sanitizing with treatments containing precious metals.
One of the most interesting new ideas is BBS® Bacteria Blocker Silverguard, produced by and created for an antibacterial treatment using silver ions. The surfaces of laminates are given this treatment, which reduces bacterial growth by 99.9%.
In other words, the bacteria are first made harmless, and then prevented from proliferating, so that they disappear completely from surfaces in contact with foods and from laminate countertops in the kitchen.

What is ACTIVE?
ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial CeramicTM is the only photocatalytic, anti-pollution and antibacterial ceramic in the world with ISO 10678: 2010, ISO 27448-1: 2008, ISO 27447: 2009 , ISO 22196: 2011 e UNI 11484: 2013 certifications. ACTIVE slabs purify the air from dangerous pollutants, eliminate bacteria that can cause serious illnesses, destroy the molecules responsible for bad smells, and are easier to clean thanks to their hydrophilic properties. All of this is possible because titanium dioxide (TiO2) is applied to ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial CeramicTM slabs, transforming them into a photocatalytic material. Photocatalysis on ACTIVE slabs means that, in the presence of air, humidity and light, a powerful oxidative process takes place that leads to the decomposition of organic and inorganic contaminants that come into contact with ACTIVE surfaces.
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is applied to ACTIVE slabs in the form of micrometric particles and by means of the digital printing technique, which allows for a completely homogeneous distribution of the particles of TiO2 on the surface of the slabs. These particles are fixed on the slabs at high temperature (in the industrial kiln at 680° C). Upon leaving the kiln, the slabs are washed and brushed vigorously to remove any TiO2 particles that might not have adhered to their surface. The micrometric (rather than nanometric) dimension of the TiO2 used in this process prevents health and environmental risks during manufacture. In addition, the ink’s composition and the fixing at high temperature of the TiO2 on ACTIVE Clean Air and Antibacterial CeramicTM slabs make the surface of these slabs unaltered and extremely resistant to abrasion caused by traffic (even by heavy traffic). This guarantees a long-term photocatalytic efficacy.
ACTIVE, now more effective and powerful
ACTIVE maintains ACTIVE’s four photocatalytic properties (antibacterial, anti-pollution, self- cleaning and anti-smell). However, the addition of silver to titanium dioxide in ACTIVE reinforces these four properties. The presence of silver in ACTIVE also ensures:
- Antibacterial activity even in the dark.
- Anti-pollution efficiency even under LED lights.
ANTIBACTERIAL
EFFICIENCY
Eliminates up to 99.99% of bacteria
ACTIVE photocatalytic process leads to the decomposition of up to 99.99% of the bacteria that come into contact with the slabs, from the most common bacteria, such as Escherichia Coli, to the most dangerous ones, such as Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA).
ACTIVE has bactericidal properties even in the dark and under LED lights, thanks to the combination of titanium dioxide and silver, which improves and reinforces the bactericidal action.
ANTI-POLLUTION
EFFICIENCY
Purifies the air
The photocatalytic process converts the volatile molecules of dangerous pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compound (VOCs), into harmless substances.
ACTIVE is capable of degrading the molecules of dangerous pollutants in a more effective and powerful way thanks to the use of the digital printing technology, which allows for a more homogeneous distribution of titanium dioxide and silver on the surface of the slabs.
SELF-CLEANING
EFFICIENCY
Super hydrophilicity
Quick and easy cleaning, with consequent reduction in the use of aggressive and expensive detergents.
Thanks to the photocatalytic properties of ACTIVE 2.0, dirt adheres less to the slabs’ surface, facilitating its cleaning. This property - called “self-cleaning” - allows for cleaning surfaces by simply using water and mild detergents, thus avoiding aggressive detergents, which are often toxic and more expensive. On external facades, the action of the rain on ACTIVE slabs is enough to keep them clean, with a dramatically reduced need for maintenance.
ANTI-ODOUR
EFFICIENCY
Eliminates bad odours
Comfortable environments thanks to the elimination of bad odours. ACTIVE is able to degrade the main molecules responsible for bad odours. Indeed, the photocatalytic process leads to the degradation of odorous organic molecules that come into contact with ACTIVE surfaces.
In ACTIVE, anti-odour properties were also strengthened thanks to the use of the digital printing technology - which allows for a more homogeneous distribution of titanium dioxide on the surface of the slabs - and thanks to the presence of silver, which is added to the micrometric TiO2 since always used in ACTIVE Clean Air and Antibacterial CeramicTM.
