Veneta Cucine Milan Design Week 2015

Milan Design Week 2015 has just ended with excellent results. In fact this year it has recorded 310.840 visitors (source salonemilano.it) to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, while the audience gravitated to Milan for the Fuorisalone has invaded the streets of Brera, most visited district, with over 150 exhibits, confirming itself as a  reference point of the event.

Veneta Cucine this year occurred in Foro Buonaparte in the Brera Design District, where there is the showroom, with two events dedicated to the projects 'Credenza’ by Michele de Lucchi and 'MI.2015' by Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan.

‘Credenza’, signed by Michele De Lucchi, amalgamates the refined elegance of the chrome-plated finishes with the tactile pleasure of wood: a product which traces back to our historical traditions thus becomes a highly modern kitchen offering a host of practical and innovative functions. This single modular element contains everything that is needed in the kitchen: cooking area, washing area and plenty of cupboard space.

Stefano Giovannoni and Elisa Gargan have created Mi 20.15 for Veneta Cucine: much more than just a kitchen, this is a system in which the blending of horizontal and niche boiserie compartments creates a totally free composition with wall-mounted modules that can be repeated in an infinity of compositions.

The projects developed for Veneta Cucine by Michele De Lucchi and Giovannoni Design are very different, but both centre on the concept that the kitchen is and has always been the heart of our homes and a mirror of our inner self: an icon that re-interprets the way in which we live.
